The 2022 Grand Prix Series continues with the fourth event, the inaugural MK John Wilson Trophy, which will take place in Sheffield, England, Nov. 11-13. This competition replaces Cup of China in the Series this season.

Top names in the men′s event include Koshiro Shimada of Japan, the runner-up at 2022 Lombardia Trophy, Latvia’s Deniss Vasiljevs, the 2022 European bronze medalist, and Morisi Kvitelashvili of Georgia.

In the women′s competition, South Korea′s Young You, the runner-up at the 2022 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, will go up against Ekaterina Kurakova, the 2022 Lombardia Trophy silver medalist, Mai Mihara of Japan and the young American Isabeau Levito. This will be the first event in more than a year for American Bradie Tennell, who was forced to miss last season due to a foot injury.

Reigning World champions Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier headline the pairs field.

The battle for gold in the ice dance competition will likely be between Charlène Guignard and Marco Fabbri of Italy and Great Britain’s Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson. Both teams mined gold at their first Challenger Series events in September.

Cup of Austria, the eighth of the 10 Challenger Series events, overlaps with this competition (link below).
