The fourth event of the 2022 Series will take place in Yerevan, Armenia, Sep. 21-24. This city last hosted a Junior Grand Prix in 2018. Three disciplines will be contested – this is a non-pairs event.
There are currently 54 singles skaters and 15 ice dance teams on the slate.
In the men’s event, Canada will field two rookies, David Bondar and Anthony Paradis, the 2022 national junior champion. Paradis, a talented, artistic skater with a ton of potential will be one to watch in this competition.
William Annie of the U.S. is returning for a third season. He finished third and fifth, respectively, at his two assignments in 2021. Both men from Japan will also make their Junior Grand Prix debuts at this competition.
The women’s line up is truly international with skaters representing small skating nations such as Argentina, Greece, Kyrgystan, Moldova and Mongolia in the mix.
Canada’s Nadiia Bashynska and Peter Beaumont, the 2022 World Junior bronze medalists, lead the ice dance line-up. They will be joined by Dana Sabatini-Speciale and Nicholas Buelow who will make their international debut in Yerevan.
This competition overlaps with Nebelhorn Trophy.
