Golden Spin of Zagreb, the final event of the 2022 Challenger Series, takes place Dec. 7–10 with some top names in the line ups. All four disciplines will be contested.
Italy′s Matteo Rizzo and Camden Pulkinen of the U.S. headline the men′s field of 15 competitors. No Japanese men were assigned to this competition.
There are 28 women slated to compete in Zagreb. The battle for the three steps of the podium will likely be between Canada’s Madeline Schizas, Nicole Schott of Germany and Lindsay Thorngren of the U.S. No Japanese women have been assigned to this competition.
The pairs discipline has a solid line up with 16 teams slated to compete. Germany′s Alisa Efimova and Ruben Blommaert, silver medalists at the Grand Prix in Espoo, will be the team to beat. Two American duos will also be in the hunt for a podium finish: Anastasia Smirnova and Danylo Siianytsia and Ellie Nam and Danny O’Shea, who were golden in their international debut at the 2022 Ice Challenge in Graz.
The ice dance competition will be a battle with a number of the 20 teams coming off podium finishes throughout the season, which includes Georgia′s Maria Kazakova and Georgy Reviya, Jennifer Janse Van Rensburg and Benjamin Steffan of Germany and Lithuania′s Allison Reed and Saulius Ambrulevičius.
