2020 BudapestThe second Challenger Series event of the season, 2020 Budapest Trophy, will takes place at the Vasas Jégcentrum Main Rink, Oct. 15-17. A total of 28 skaters/teams (no pairs) are currently scheduled to compete: 11 men, 14, ladies and three ice dance teams. There will be no exhibition gala.

In accordance with the Covid rules currently in place in Hungary, only 300 spectators will be allowed inside the venue each day. Temperatures will be taken prior to entry and fans are mandated to remain exclusively in the stands and must wear masks at all times. Admittance is free and is on a first-come-first-serve basis.

This competition, organized by the Hungarian National Skating Federation, will feature a mix of domestic and international skaters. In singles, Ivett Toth, Julia Lang, Regina Schermann, Andás Csernoch, Alexander Maszljanko and Mate Borocz and ice dancers Villo Marton and Danyil Semko will represent Hungary.

Italy′s Daniel Grassl and Loena Hendrickx of Belgium are also on the roster, as is Estonia’s Eva-Lotta Kiibus, the 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy ladies champion.

This international competition will also feature junior events. Arlet Levandi, a young rising star from Estonia will headline the men′s field. In the ladies competition, local skaters on the roster include Bernadett Szigeti, Lili Krizsanovszki, Cintia Szabo, Daria Zsirnov and Mozes Jozsef Berei. In ice dance Katica Kedves–Fedor Sharonov and Petra Csikos–Patrik Csikos.

The organizers of 2020 Budapest Trophy will also provide a free live stream.
