United States: The Las Vegas Invitational will air on the NBC network Sun., Nov. 15 from 4-6 p.m. EST. Two teams — Team Tara and Team Johnny — (Tara Lipinksi and Johnny Weir will “coach” their respective teams from the broadcast booth) — will compete for $50,000 in prize money. Each team is comprised of three ladies and three men from the U.S. who are senior eligible domestically. Each skater will perform a free skate with their scores being added together for a total tally that will determine the winning team. The event will be judged under the IJS, with one modification: both the ladies and men will be scored using the same component factor of 1.6 (men are typically scored at 2.0). As a result, the men’s scores will be lower than usual, but both the ladies and men’s results will carry the same weight in the composition of the overall team score.
Team Tara: Starr Andrews, Nathan Chen, Alex Krasnozhon, Ilia Malinin, Audrey Shin, Bradie Tennell
Team Johnny: Mariah Bell, Karen Chen, Tomoki Hiwatashi, Alysa Liu, Camden Pulkinen, Vincent Zhou
