The 2022 U.S. Championships (junior and senior) will take place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Jan. 3–9. Team selections for the 2022 Four Continents Championships, Olympic Winter Games and World Championships will be determined at the conclusion of the senior competitions.
Skaters — other than those with a bye — earned a place at the Championships via a series of eight qualifying competitions (the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championship Series) which took place during the fall of 2021.
A total of 16 women, 18 men, 12 pairs and 15 ice dance teams are slated to compete in Nashville. Isabeau Levito, Lindsay Thorngren, Ilia Malinin Katrina Wolfkostin and Jeffrey Chen, who all qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Final, will be competing in the senior events. Gracie Gold is headed to her ninth U.S. Championships after winning the qualifying competition in Alpharetta, Georgia.
