STANDINGS AT THE END OF THE 2020-2021 SEASON

On August 8, 2021, the ISU published the 2021-2022 World Standings, which differ considerably from the standings released in April. The scores were calculated by adding 70 percent of the point total from the 2019-2020 season to the full point totals from the 2020-2021 season.

Japanese superstar Yuzuru Hanyu tops the men′s list with 2554 points. Nathan Chen of the U.S. finished in second place with 2040 ahead of Japan′s Yuma Kagiyama (1910). Chen′s point total is reflective of the fact that he did not compete at any Championship events in 2020. He skipped Four Continents and then the World Championships was cancelled.

Anna Shcherbakova ranks first in the women′s field with 2723 points, with her teammate Alexandra Trusova in second (2391). Japan′s Rika Kihira is in third place with 2271.

In pairs, China′s Wenjing Sui and Cong Han finished first with 2508 points; Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Galliamov of Russia are in second with 2319, and China′s second team, Cheng Peng and Yang Jin, rank third (2270).

Madison Chock and Evan Bates of the U.S. ranked highest in the ice dance discipline (2639), ahead of Russia′s Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov (2608), and Canada′s Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (2359). The French team of Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, who did not compete last season, sit in 12th place.

See ISU Communication 1629 for a detailed explanation of how the scores were determined.
