2019 Warsaw Cup, the penultimate event of the 2019 Challenger Series, takes place Nov. 14-17 at the COS Torwar II Arena in Warsaw, Poland. This event overlaps with Rostelecom Cup. With 96 skaters and/or teams currently on the rosters for the four disciplines, this competition will make for long days.
The men′s event will feature a mix of senior and junior skaters, two of which are headed to the Junior Grand Prix Final in a few weeks (Petr Gumennik and Andrei Mozalev). It will be interesting to see how this duo fares against the seasoned veterans in this field.
Bradie Tennell headlines a ladies field of 34 and is by far the most experienced. She should have no trouble winning this competition. Russia′s Serafima Sakhanovich will be looking for a better finish than the eighth place she achieved at 2019 Skate Canada. For her teammate, Elizaveta Nugumanova, this will be her first competition since 2017.
There are currently 20 pairs teams slated to compete. Familiar names include Jessica Calalang and Brian Johnson of the U.S, and Great Britain′s Zoe Jones and Christopher Boyadji.
In ice dance, Marie-Jade Lauriault and Romain Le Gac of France and Caroline Green and Michael Parsons of the U.S., should claim steps on the podium. Russia′s Ksenia Konkina and Pavel Drozd (a new team that finished second at 2019 Asian Open Trophy) could also be in the running.

The ISU Challenger Series is an International Figure Skating Series, introduced during the 2014/15 season. Through ISU support, the objective is to ensure the proper and consistent organization and conduct of up to ten (10) International Competitions linked together within the ISU Challenger Series. The Series gives adequate opportunities for many Skaters to compete at the international senior level and earn World Standing Points. The Series also increases the opportunity for Officials to officiate at an international level.
